A delicious and simple chicken pie recipe you can try as you embark on your cooking journey.

Preheat Breville oven to 375 Deg F.
Melt the butter in the pan, saute minced onions, garlic, and diced carrots for 5 mins over medium heat.
Add the diced chicken breast, paprika, and saute for 3 mins. Add 1 tbsp of flour then saute for another 1 min.
Add the diced potatoes, chicken broth, and cream into the pan, season with salt and pepper and simmer for 8 mins under low heat.
Once the chicken filling is cooked and thickens up, turn off the heat and set it aside.
For the pastry:
Using the Breville Stand Mixer, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut the solid butter into cubes.
Add the butter,1 tbsp of water one at a time, mixing several times after each addition.
Mix until it forms a dough. (3-4 mins light mixing/folding)
Transfer pie dough into a bowl and wrap it with cling wrap then chill for 1 hour. (you can prepare this ahead of time)
After Chilling, Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface.
Divide the filling equally among 4 ovenproof ramekins.
Divide the dough into quarters and roll each piece into a 3-inch circle.
Brush the outside edges of each bowl with the egg wash, then place the dough on top.
Crimp the dough to fold over the side, pressing it to make it stick. Brush the dough with egg wash and make 1 slit on the top.
Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25 mins (375 Deg F), or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling hot.
Once baked, serve hot.
